Hawksmoor is a small investment management company. Our intention is that, compared with some of our competitors, Hawksmoor will remain relatively small and focussed.

However, this is something we are quite happy about! Being small doesn't mean we are under-sized and parochial. On the contrary, we think that it gives us several advantages:

• our investment approach can be nimble and flexible so we can take better advantage of opportunities than our more lumbering, systems-driven brethren;
• our investment solutions can be tailored specifically to the needs of our clients: although a model may be the starting point of our bespoke portfolios, there is no shoehorning into one-size-fits-all model portfolios or arm twisting into in-house funds;
• market-beating investment expertise is not found exclusively in the City of London or with major banks and investment houses. Several well-known or first rate (sometimes both!) investment managers prefer to pursue their careers with smaller "boutique" businesses, often in the regions;
• our smaller size means that each and every client is very important to us and we are in a better position to give them the service they deserve.
